Do you know how Twitter was born?

On March 21st, 2006 Jack Dorsey, Creator, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Twitter @jack sent the very first "tweet".

The whole idea surged as an investigative project into an small company from San Francisco called "Obvious". Inspired by Flickr's boom at that moment, Twitter was called at its very beginning "twttr" becoming what we know today: Twitter, Inc.

The idea was clear, creating a network to keep communicated people with up to 140 characters length messages; part of its success is precisely how easy to use was since five years ago.
